Inspired by dance performances choreographed by Jennifer Rose and Evelyn Méndez Maldonado, Johanna created a series of abstract works that aimed to capture the emotion brought forth by these pieces. To immerse into the piece, she deliberately and methodically listened to the musical element on repeat while studying the movements of the dancers.
